The 2018 agenda included hot topics and gathered more industry leaders which shared their expertise on subjects such as Responsible Gambling, Safe Gambling, KYC, AML, Match-fixing, Blockchain, Cryptocurrency, Artificial Intelligence and more.
The first panel discussion was titled as “Horus Session – Responsible Gambling, AML and Match-fixing” and was joined by Ray Wilson (Anti-Money Laundering Global Solutions Ltd), Bahar Alaeddini (Harris Hagan), Francesco Baranca (Federbet) and Jack Symons (gamban) under the careful moderation of Dan Iliovici (Rombet).
The Responsible Gambling related panel discussion was followed shortly by a compliance-related panel discussion which focused on Eastern Europe, with an emphasis on Romania, Bulgaria, and Belarus. The panelist Georgi Dimitrov (EGT), Kirill Laptev (Sorainen Belarus) and Cosmina Simion (NNDKP) have shared insights about the evolution of the markets and what to expect next under the moderation of Joe Ewens (GamblingCompliance).
The discussions to more interesting with the rollout of the “Innovation Talks – Evolution of technology vs Gambling Regulators” panel discussion which included expert speakers such as Joakim Renman (Scout Gaming Group), Jens Bader (MuchBetter), Adriaan Brink (BetterBetting), Domenico Mazzola (Altenar) and Mario Ovcharov (UltraPlay). The panel discussion was moderated by Dr. Joseph Borg (WH Partners) and some key fact have been pointed out about the evolution of the crypto market in the gambling industry.
At 13:00 the conference to a longer networking break and delegates had the opportunity to enjoy the fine cuisine served by the team at Ritz-Carlton Budapest. The Networking Breaks and Lunch was sponsored by Play’n GO.
The education continued after the Lunch Break with a panel discussion about the use of AI and was titled “Innovation Talks – Use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in gambling and payments”. The panel was moderated by Mihnea Paul Popescu-Grisogono (Casino Life & Business Magazine) and was joined by Michiel van der Burgh (Acapture) and Dr. Joseph Borg (WH Partners).
After the delegates received some very insightful information about the use of AI in the gambling and payments industry, it was time for the IMGL MasterClass™.
The IMGL MasterClass™ focused on the US Market and was titled as “US Market – Gold Rush or Opposite for European Operations”.
The panel was joined by Morten Ronde (Danish Online Gambling Association), Jaka Repansek (RePublis d.o.o.), Quirino Mancini (Tonucci & Partners), Jeremy Kleiman (New Jersey law firm of Saiber LLC) and Andrew Cochrane (SBTech) under the expert moderation of Dr. Joerg Hofmann (MELCHERS Law)
The final panel discussion focused on compliance-related updates from Central Europe with an emphasis on Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland
Among the speakers, delegates had the opportunity to hear more from Bartosz Andruszaniec, Gabor Helembai (Bird&Bird), Štefan Švec (Playtech) and Jan Rehola (PS Legal). The panel was moderated by Dr. Robert Skalina (WH Partners).
After the final session ended, the 3rd edition of the CEEG Awards.
